I thought I’d write something completely mindless and requiring no real thought whatsoever today.
So there’s a project I’ve been meaning to do for a long time and that’s
create as complete a list as I can of every single episode of anime
I’ve seen and every single manga I’ve read. I was always hoping
there’d be a great facebook app so I can put this right in there and
also rate them at the same time. But there isn’t. Not that I’ve seen.
If you know of one, please tell me! I don’t think it exists.
And Why NOT!?!? Animenewsnetwork or somebody should totally make one.
Increases their advertising revenue. It’d be great. Unlike the
movie/dvd apps it would have features that appeal in particular to
anime fans. For example, you could have a system that computes the
degree to which you are shonen, shojo, seinen, josei, or kodomo anime
fan and then the ability to search for other fans with similar tastes
in your network and whatnot. Animenewsnetwork already has the database
so they should get off their lazy asses. They can hire me to write it
if they want. Not that I’ve ever written a facebook app but why not? First time for everything.
Anyway I found one app, not for facebook but a separate website that
was sort of like I wanted but when I tried to sign up I never heard
back from the person who wrote it. A pity.
So I guess I’ll just write it the good old fashioned way. Through blog
posts! So that’ll be what my next few xanga posts will be. I’ll update
as I remember more stuff that I’ve seen.
