This is a blog reply to my own blog replies entry! One of two I’m going to do. More specifically it’s a blog reply to 95% of the comments I received on that entry and like 95% of any additional responses I’m likely to get given the trends so far. In fact it probably works pretty well for any other featured entries I happen to have ever gotten or might ever receive in the future too.
Warning: This entry is somewhat tongue in cheek. Please don’t be offended. ^_^

That’d be sweet! But I’m very humble. I don’t need much. Just ten million dollars would about do it I think. But I only accept payment in barrels of crude oil or solid gold bars.

I know! Cool isn’t it? Now can somebody tell me how to get unfeatured!?!?!

lol…I don’t think you can ever get unfeatured. Some of the posts in the featured box have been there for what seems like months now.

@buckeyegirl31 - geez. I think maybe the xanga people are busy with their spin off sites especially that dating one and just haven’t gotten around to cycling it. Or maybe they are experimenting with longer durations. Either that or nobody is writing any good stuff!

@nephyo - I think you hit the nail on the head there…They are just too busy~or they have a new person in charge of it.
If you want to get unfeatured, put your featured posts on protected/private for a little while (just till the mad rush dies down.)
@elvesdoitbetter - wow you had a reasonable, intelligent, easy, and effective solution to the problem.
Damn! I wasn’t expecting that.
Now I am forced to admit that I am really quite okay with staying on the front page for a while longer at least. But I think I will probably protect it if it gets too crazy or lasts too much longer. Just feels really weird being this “visible” for so long. I’ll “suffer” through though.
Just don’t forget to stop by and slap me if I start to get a swelled head.

Live it up, man. I really doubt there’s anybody that wouldn’t like to be featured at some point, so ride the high while it lasts.
